7" factory rims? that's the first I've heard... all the ones I've heard of were 6", and you can't do 33" tires on a 6" rim, not sure what a 7" rim would accommodate, I still think 33 would be pushing it, but it might be ok, 31 would certainly be fine on a 7" wide rim though.

not really, the problem is that on a narrow rim with a tall tire the rubber has too much ability to sway back and forth as you turn, the wider rim offers more stability there, so less likelyhood of the tire coming off the rim on a sharp or sudden turn. (tire width doesn't really play a role in this until you get to a point where the rim approaches the width of the tire itself)

tire Width DOES play a role....if you were to put a wide tire on a narrow rim on hard cornering you risk the sidewall folding over/ breaking the bead as it curls in on itself.

BFG says the 33 X 9.5 x 15 fits on a 6.5 to 7.5 inch rim. So if you have 7 inchers they work.

i have 15x7 rims.... are yours 16x8? i have 31x10.5s now. I would have gotten 15x8s but my sliding door carpet is already brushing the tire when I open the door.

I think they are 16x8. The tires do not touch the carpet as it is so high and the offset is pretty neutral.

If you want to lift the van like mine here is what you should get (Since you have extended shackles we'll skip those):

- front ball joint spacers ( a couple members may have some available) - $200
- longer shocks - $300
- longer brake lines - $75
- alignment - $100
- spring u-bolts - $50
- miscellaneous hardware and fluids - $100

I would recommend upgraded torsion bars as well, but they are not so easily available and not cheap and can wait as money permits. That is what I can think off right off the top. Beyond that I think I can make the subframe spacers and axle blocks easy enough, so:

- fuel to Houston and back- $500
- beer for James - $100 (no cheap stuff for me)

There are probably three or four others in the North interested. If we had plenty of shop space we could have a good old red neck Deli lifting weekend. Would look cool to have a convoy of 4 lifted Delica's up here (Patty ?, Josh ?) Actually, I think you all have low roofs, so I could do two at a time in my garage without the hassles of getting them out that the high roof presents.
