HI Mardy,
Just a quick question, do you need 2 pairs (4 lights) for DRL or just one pair is enough? I mounted mine yesterday, I put them just below the front turn signals. There is enough of a gap in the signal light pod to run the wires through. I will post some pictures later.

If I can be a crank, I'd prefer they not be mounted too close to the turnsignal, it makes the turn signal hard to see. New cars are bad for that.
One pair should be enough if they are bright enough. Would love to see photos of them in daytime and from a distance.

I actually installed a switch in between. So, if I turn on the headlights, I have the option to turn off the DRL.

nit-pick: according to the law it is illegal for the DRLs to be on when the headlights are on. so it's not so much an "option" thing, but you simply MUST turn them off when the headlights are on (I recommend a relay for that purpose...)

Hi, green1, i dont know about that law, my inspector say it doesnot matter if on or off.
for example dodge caravan. th eside park light & signal light is on. they used it as day time running light yellow color.even the headlight is on they still on on the yellow light.
this is according to my provincial inspector. it doen't matter. as long as you have this DRL.
Cheers;

On the dodge caravan the parking light/turn signal is on brighter when acting as DRL, and dims when the headlights are on to become the normal parking light.
DRLs MUST turn off (or revert to their other previous function (example: as parking/running lights on the dodge caravan) when your headlights come on.

Post some pics! I have my parking lights on. I use LED bulbs for the front parking lights as well.

Why are all the photos taken at night when the lights being shown are DAYTIME running lights?

my headlights turn on when my key is in the accessory or running position. the headlights are always on. is this why my front white running lights dont work?
i always wondered this...

if your headlights are used as the daytime running lights then there is no need to turn off the DRLs when the headlights are on (as they are the same physical bulb it would be impossible to tell which one it is)
As for your front white running lights, hard to say why they don't work, could be bulbs, fuse, or someone somewhere along the way who has disabled them somehow...
