I asked them this:

What is the power output from each of the stoves?
Are they waterproof? Rainproof?
When do you hope to release the Home Stove?

They responded (quickly):
Thanks for your interest in BioLite! The power output from the
CampStove is 2W at 5 volts. It is similar to charging via a standard
USB port on a laptop computer. It is not designed for use in heavy
rain. The HomeStove is in large pilot programs this year in the
developing world, but won't be out on the market until at least next
year.

i was thinking of getting the MSR version of the jet boil, in a pro deal (im guiding), but maybe i wont bother...

Maybe, but I doubt you've seen one as carefully engineered as the bushbuddy. Fritz Handle, the designer has put a lot of thought and effort into his high quality stainless steel little stoves and it shows - it's all about airflow - well worth the money IMO.

the thing about the biolite that separates it from the others is the use of heat transfer to energy -> charge usb devices.

That alone is a huge bonus so I wouldn't have to bring batteries/battery charger for the GPS and cell phone.

The reason why I would pick the biolite over the powerpot is because the powerpot requires water to power the USB port whereas the biolite does not.

The PowerPot will work under any circumstances as long as you have heat and water. You CANNOT run the PowerPot without watery contents

I saw the biolite stove read everything on there website and was sold put in my reservation for one

Will post a review once I receive it and used it a few times

just good timing i guess.. it came to my attention same day you posted... regarding fire bans: it seems to me that the flame for the biolite is no bigger than the flame from a MSR or other camp stove
