You can count one more Pajero in! I should be with one or two passengers.
Are we organizing a cook-off or something or is it every man for himself?

Hi Jessy,
Me and my wife really want to go for our first offroading fun with the group . The problem is we have to get back on Saturday ( could be late) . We don't mind returning on our own. Is this possible ? Do we need map for return route? Please let us know.
Thanks,
DC

Oooh, my arm's being twisted!!
I'm planning to come again this year too unlesss the weather turns abysmal. I'll be bringing an 11-year-old, a 7-year-old (boys) and a friendly dog to fend off the squirrel hordes.
One thought about East Gate meetup; not sure if they'll be open for fuelling at 10-10:30pm on a Fri. (?) Being without jerry cans for surplus, I was glad to be able to fill up there last time, as it's a fair way from Vancouver. I'm wondering about topping up in Hope along the way.

Appears to be a garden variety of JDM's convoying. Mitsu L300, L400, Pajero's . Nissan Safari's and Toyota Hilux's.

I can't make it on the 10th-12th because I'll be working but The Wife and I are planning a trip for our days off on September 13th-15th. We will probably do a hiking trip in the Garibaldi or Duffy Lake area so if anybody has any suggestions for a good 3-day hiking trip let me know. However, if it looks like the weather is going to be crap we're planning to do a 4x4 trip in the L400 instead and I'd love to try the Whipsaw trail. I'm wondering if that would be advisable by ourselves or if it's a difficult enought trail that it would be better to do with a group in case you get stuck or break something. Unfortunately the downside of having weekdays off is its nigh impossible rounding up comrades for these mid-week excursions.
Our L400 is slightly higher than stock (about an inch or so) and sporting BFG all-terrains.
thanks,
Kevin.

I would love to go with, however I still doubt I can make it up there as my vehicle is Kaput! I am beginning to think my car was not treated very well by the P.O. I need a Delica!

Sorry Jesse and guys, We headed out the opposite way leaving Tim Horton in Hope. Ok fine. Manage to head back east at the 1st exit available and exit 177 onto #3 highway hoping we can meet you guys at the East Gate gas station but was late. Ok fine . Drove off east bound again hoping we can still made it but must have missed the sign after driving over 1/2 an hour almost reach Pentiton. Stopped and want to take out the GPS just to find out have left it at home. . Really want to find a place to get through the night and try to look for the group in the morning when everything is visible but its so dark and worried about lost off the highway which could be a lot worse so we decided to get back home. Hope you guys have lots of fun and not worrying us too much as there were no phone reception. Well we will do it again next time !
Cheers,
DC

It's too bad you couldn't find us David! I hope to see you out there next time...
Thanks for organizing this trip Jesse, I had a great time! I just arrived back home and no one seems to have any major damage to report.
I'll try to post a select few pictures in the next couple days...

Thanks for the great time guys. And especially to David for the tug :) Sorry we had to take off early, but really had to get home at a reasonable time to gear up for this week. We ended up in Princeton at about 11 for lunch, had time for a swim and R&R at lighting lake in Manning park on the way back, and rolled across the Poor Mann bridge at about 5 which was perfect timing for us.
Sounds like everyone made it out okay, hopefully at a reasonable hour. How did you guys fare on the last few obstacles?
