Just an observation I wanted to share here, I've been looking at the ads for l400s and noticed that some dealers (not to name names) think they can charge upwards of $12 k for a '94 l300 with over 80,000 clicks. Am I the only one who thinks that seems outrageous? It's as if these guys are artificially inflating their vehicle values, perhaps to cover 'extended power train warranties', or perhaps it's just buffer for negotiating the price but I can't see an l300 being worth that price, unless it is camperized (and don't get me started about 18,000 20-year-old camperized minivans FS). Clearly, someone's been doing the herbal.
l300's for 12+k??

Re: l300's for 12+k??
It would have to be in impeccable shape to charge that. I researched my vehicles worth when new and it would be worth about $75,000 new at today's dollar. At 12,000 I'd say a vehicle like this would still be worth it however considering the amount the cost to bring over that's way over priced. I bought mine for $4000 in canada and will have put a total of about $12,000 once the skid plate is on (including vehicle cost). Check out my van here... http://www.delica.ca/forum/hermione-s-m ... 10006.html and tell me how it compares to the ones you see listed. If you want peace of mind I'd say buy from a dealer but personally I couldn't justify it.

Sounds OK to me - if it's in good nick and been refit nicely. 80,000 is a good number.

Happy Day!

Re: l300's for 12+k??
i have imported about 10 delicas... im not a mechanic so i pay coombs country auto to do the belts, cooling etc. by the time i get tires and batteries in, im usually in $10,000 or more. i try to price them so i make about $1000. i think $12,000 is a good price if its a clean unit
