Campbell River to Lake Louise cirlce route
After 2 1/2 years of owning my bus I finally took her off the Island and on a good road run. My girlfriend is here from Adelaide, Australia and had never seen any of the interior of BC so we loaded up the bus, arranged a friend to take the dogs for a week, and away we went with only a general destination in mind...

Entertainments of an evening at a roadside camp near Midway
We stopped in to have a look at this Doukabor flour mill in Grand Forks and happened on the miller who gave us a detailed tour of the 100 + year old and METICULOUSLY kept mill - the pure whole wheat flour is lovely too!

Hazel was happy doing a solid 60 km/h or so up the 'ole Blueberry-Paulson - no problems on any of the big hills :)
First glimps of the might Rockies!
Hoodoos are cool!
In the Mountains now...
The high point of the trip
We came back the Duffy Lake Road and camped in the mountains there just out of lilloeet on an ole logging spur not far off the road.

A little fall colour with the incense
Saw one deli near Grand Forks, two in Golden, one near Cache Creek, and HEEEAPS of 'em here in in the shadow of the Chief!
The final leg of the trip saw us motor up the Sunshine Coast and across the Powell River ferry - only a few kms of backtracking the whole journey :D

Happy Day!

Good to read that you had a good trip. Way to show off your 'rocks', as it were - they got mountains Down Under, but nothing like these. Hope she had a good time (no mention of her name, so I've used only the second person pronoun).
