L300 roll over... advice?
Hey there, I sent my Deli off the highway the other day (came over the top of a hill, it was ditch or hit a miada... front end catches the ditch and rolls it over onto the sliding door)
now my question is, where should I go from here?
ICBC wont touch it so any repairs are coming out of pocket.
Also I'm located in Port Alberni at the moment, not far from coombs.

Some pictures, as I couldnt get them to upload on this site.
Mostly the front right and mid left, door is smashed in, and the panels on either side bow as well. Also the roof has a pretty good dent in it.
Also of note, this is an 89' gas exceed

Can you be more specific about ICBC not touching it?

Hi Zurkoski, wow what sad photos, I hope you are physically OK? Where are you located?
I see it came from 5 Star Auto Sales, which means it was likely serviced by Glenn at Coombs Country Autos. Maybe one of them can take a look? If the undercarriage is not bent, maybe you can find a van that has a dead engine and swap body panels. As yours is a gas engine, beware the frame might not exactly match the frame of a diesel, but your expert on that topic is Glenn at CC Autos, he once did a conversion from diesel to gas, and he owns a gas L300. Glen's phone is 1 250 954 2157, email ccautos@telus.net
Too bad the guy in Ontario with a blown engine isnt closer, as then you might have made 1 good vehicle out of 2 sad ones.
You may want to consider "parting Out" the van, which means selling it part by part. This can take some time so you need a secure place to store it for a couple months while you advertize the parts on this website. Shipping by Greyhound ground courier is often the best value. Or sell it to one of the delica repair shops for them to use as parts.
Keep in touch, you are part of the Delica family, and we all want to help when one of our own needs help.
Regards, Christine.

Insured it every way, with only one exception, that being collision.
So I'm at fault with this one.
Hypothetical, parting it out, in the condition that its in, rough guess on value?
I'm just weighing the cost of repairs v what i could make off it subtracted from the cost of a new van.

Re: L300 roll over... advice?
There is one on Craigslist for $2350 with a bad motor. Not sure if it is still for sale. I would like the finders fee of the rebuilt turbo for the lead!
I have an engine puller if you go that way.
Your van looks fixable...depends how nice you want the body. I would measure the straightness of the chassis and then get a new slider and build a custom bumper for the front. Hammer would fix the roof dent.
Best of luck
