The super short wheelbase and rear wheel drive (in 2WD).

With the front/rear wheels so close together, you get the same effect that Jeep YJ/CJ's do. The rear end can cut loose quite easily on slick surfaces when cornering.

I would think most Delica owners have experienced some sort of tail kicking out experience.

When it happens for the first time, most Delica driver's probably poop their pants when the tail kicks out like a whip.

With that said, once you know the limitations or break point, you can feather the throttle while corning or sliding in RWD and control the slide.

Extra weight over the rear axle helps rear end tracking considerably. Camping equipment may not cut it.

A good 200-300 lbs directly over the axle makes it more lax when it's slick out.

I saw that in Wimp. Is that for real? I doubt the shoes make a dramatic difference. One thing I did notice is that they always take the same approach and run across the same line in the water. They stay buoyant for the same distance then sink. I think there's something under the water. It's a sham.

It's a viral ad for the shoes, it's not real.

I used to walk on water all the time at my grandparent's cottage on a lake near montreal... they had these contraptions called "jesus' slippers" which were basically giant styrofoam shoes... took quite a lot of practice to walk with them, but you could "walk on water" once you had!

Remember, buy it green, roast it in a $20 popcorn popper, let it sit in a ziploc bag overnight (AFTER cooling) then grind and drink! Best coffee you will have ever tried in your life!

What shall we do about green1?

Post by Green1 »

This corner of the Last Word Café is about: "What Shall We Do About Green1?"

In the past few weeks I have been told that:
- I don't know anything about vehicles
- I don't know anything about physics
- I don't know anything about electronics
- I don't know anything about law

Furthermore I have been described as "the single largest detriment to the cause of imported vehicles in Canada"

And all of these statements have gone completely unchallenged except by me.

If people on this site truly believe all of this, then I am wasting my time being here, and will leave.
If this is the case, I ask that an admin kindly delete every post I have ever made (especially any how-to instructions in any of the modification or technical forums) as I obviously didn't know what I was talking about when I wrote any of them and people would be ill advised to follow them.

This is not the friendly community it once was, when I started on here everyone was friendly and statements were taken based on the evidence posted within, now "I've been working on diesel engines for __ years" carries more weight on engine operations than mountains of printed material, tons of anecdotal evidence, common sense, and the laws of physics. "because I said so" carries more weight of points of law than government forms, fact sheets and laws. And I've learned that the posted rules of this site only apply to those who must abide by them, and not to those who write them.

I leave it to the "community" to decide.
