WTB - Center Curtain

Post by rhdpanda »

I am trying to find anyone who has a center curtain (the curtain that seperates the two front seats from the rest of the van). It would be very helpful if I could get the hardware as well since it is also missing from the van. The curtains can be in any condition and any color since I am only using them as a template but it would be great if they still had the sliders. Pm me with any information.

There is very little "magic" to the centre curtain, other than availablity and there's not many of us willing to part with it. The rail simply clips into the upper vents (it's not even screwed in), so it should be easy enough to get a piece of curtain rail similar to what's on the sides, cut out a curtain and hang it in place. If I had my van still I'd snap a couple of pictures to send along to you. Maybe someone else could do that for you.

Or you could PM ccautos - maybe he's got one stashed away.

mine was screwed in... (take the bents out, and the curtain rail was screwed to the metal bracket that surrounds the vent opening) I actually can't imagine how it would stay without the screws...

So were the screws pointy side up, down or to the sides? How long were they?

No screws on mine neither and it was stock. The only parts that are screwed or pop-riveted are the snaps on the side walls to keep the curtains ends attached to the side walls (so one end doesn't move when you pull towards the center)

Ahhhhhhh, these are so rare and beautiful... And bonus, mine look like a japanese mini-skirt!!! 8-) I'd only sell them with the rest of the van though, sorry!

Happy hunting!

Could someone post a picture of how these "clip" in without screws? because I can assure you that without screws mine would have been on the floor.

The screw points were toward the front of the vehicle, they used the same screws that held the metal vent-surrounds in place (the pieces that the plastic vents push in to)
