I just dealt with my battery(s) as well. I had the dual setup, but after a lot of reading and lurking on here, i replaced with one. The research on here said to go with the single Odyssey, when I called a local shop for a price it was 360 here in NS. The same(ish) battery at Canadian Tire
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motom ... 6550p.html was 320. So, to save a few bucks I went with the single CT battery. It took me 3 different CT's and 2hrs of my life before I found one with the right battery in stock. It was a busy saturday morning with parts kids working behind the counter who didn't really know much...so, needless to say I was pretty cranky by the time I hit my third CT. When the kid rang in my battery he typed in the wrong part number 10-7580 (correct battery is 10-7850) - so it rang in as 160 after tax. I guess I am a bad human, b/c I didnt say anything and waked out there with a good deal and did a little happy dance. :)
I also took my alt to a shop for testing and check out. They found some bad solder joints and it that it was over charging, also gave it a good clean...they fixed me up for 50 bucks. Thank you to the "Details Monster' user who wrote the alt removal step by step process on here...It was golden.
My baby starts wonderful now...and i even think it runs better and the battery fixed my potential / maybe head gasket issue...:) :)
