Treasure hunt 8-) ... there's 11 of them but I'll give you a hint! There are 2 on the driveshaft but only one grease point which needs to be removed from one end and installed at the other end. The rest of them are more obvious. Let us know how many you found...

Holy crap.....11......well I don't own one yet (soon though) I'm just gleeming info so when I have one in my driveway I know all the details on it.... 8-) I'm pretty anal regarding maintenance so all the info would be apretiated.....however when I get mine I'll be sure to count...........However on that note, there are three kinds of people....one good at math, and the other not.....I hope I'm not the latter..... :-)

Maybe a photo depiction of said grease points/nipples would be beneficial...

Are the grease nipples a standard size or something particularly-Japanese?

Lordco has a bag of points. 10 or so for about 6 buck if I recall correctly. Metric with fancy angles and everything! Some places sell singles too.

Okay, so a metric-tipped grease gun, but where do I stick it?

OK, I'll have to get back to you as I am going to do just that tomorrow. The grease gun tip is the same from what I gather I was talking about the thread in the nipple. I could be wrong here but that will be confirmed in the rain tomorrow.

Metric tipped grease guns are a special order - use the SAE one. but be warned, when changing the tips , you will need a left handed crescent wrench

Evening fellers, I'm going to be lubing the uderside of my delica this weekend to try and stop a squealing drivetrain.

I have a standard grease gun at home but some of the comments here are confusing me a bit. I can't tell if some of the comments are sarcasm or what.
But what I'd like to know is, will I need to unscrew a grease nipple from one end of the driveshaft and screw it in at the other end of the driveshaft?
Do I need to buy special attachments for my standard princess auto grease gun?

Well, i just dropped in to CVI in Richmond, and Edwin did it in a few minutes on the hoist, I think it was $25.00 cost on the CVI menu. Saved me crawling in the ice and snow, and look how much money I saved not having to scrub with hand cleaner. Cheers, Christine.

The tip is not metric, it's the threads which screw into the hole. A standard grease gun will work, but if you're missing or have damaged grease nipples, look for metric ones to replace.
