May seem like an odd question but...

So i was talking to my dad about installing a WVO kit and filtering it in our containers (we got like 6 train containers filled with sleds and ATVS) any ways i brought up the down side was that it smells alittle nasty here every you filter it, then he brought up the point that thge smell most likley will stick you,but you wont notice it cozz your used to it and then you'll be known as the guy who loves french fries?
so my question is does the smell stick to your clothing, skin, hair?

I stuck my nose inside a truck that had the veggie tank in the passeenger space, and it smelled pretty bad. In vehicles it definitely sticks.
I have no experience withfilter setups. curious to know though

Stay clean; use grungy clothes for processing, clean any spills quickly (kitty litter), use rubber gloves, replace lids tightly - don't leave any open containers, keep veggie tanks outside the vehicle, buy a good degreaser (recommend here was Krud Cutter - removes every trace(and smell) of spilled WVO from Delica carpets if you clean it right after the spill), and have you IP tuned to even reduce the exhaust smell.

In a word no, the only time you should smell it is when your standing right behind your idling van. OK, some days when stopped in traffic with the windows down the smell can drift in, which can be pretty yuck.

Ps-known friends for years whom have forgoten we run WVO, till say a couple of years later there standing behind a running van and ask me why it smell different.

When that smell wafts into the van I smile and take a deep breath. I love it..beats smelly stinky diesel fumes .

I spilled some veg inside my van and got to it right away. Haven't noticed the smell after that. I will definetly say that the rear of my Delica seems to be very hard to get clean at the car wash. The dirt seems to "stick" more. Not sure if the veg oil exhaust has a different composition and is more "clingy" I have really had to scrub it off. Espicially driving on wet slushy roads. It is seems to really get coated.

I agree with Kev that having different clothes is a key to doing the veg oil thing. And wearing gloves.
