Frame Rust Repair?
I have a 95 SWB Chamonix that's in good condition except for having the front frame rust problem. I'm wondering how feasible it is to fix that? Has anyone gone down that road or know anyone who does that kind of work? It's a good Delica, otherwise, so it's worth putting some money into.

Frame Rust Repair?
I'm taking mine to Randalls auto body in Cumberland this week. They have experience with the L400s and their work looks top notch. Spoke to Randal on the phone at length and he knows his stuff. I'm going to ask them to document the process and I'll post the results. I'm from Vancouver, but could not find anyone local who was willing to tackle the job.

Re: Frame Rust Repair?
I've had a conversation or two with Butch at CVI regarding the frame rust on my rig. He is also willing to tackle it. I'm just debating whether to bite the bullet this winter...

Re: Frame Rust Repair?
Thanks! Did you see the new wheels, inside? I have them mounted now. The old wheels developed a problem with the valve stems and I couldn't find replacement parts, so I gave them to a tech at work who said he knew where to find the parts. In a way, I like the style of the original wheels more, but the new ones are in much better shape.
It's for sale now, by the way.

I think by "nice wheels" I meant nice van.

Re: Frame Rust Repair?
How did your frame repairs work out? My 98 is in the shop right now for service and some brake work and they have told me the frame has rotted through in a few places. Said it can potentially repaired (not cheap) but could also be chasing my tail with it. How does a frame repair fair if in an accident?
