I've searched here a number of times, but cannot find an answer.

I'm trying to post a photo. I realize there are size restrictions on this forum, however, the photo I'm trying to link to (from my own personal hosting) is 800x450 and is a .jpg

http://crankshaftculture.com/trim.jpg

When I put the [IMG] tags around it, it's saying "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct."

It should be small enough, right? What am I doing wrong?

I've only recently noticed this too. It seems getimagesize() only works with locally hosted images. A workaround (sorry) is to use the Attachments menu below (next to Options), upload the file, and hit "place inline". Any image uploads not placed inline will appear at the end of your post. Like so:

Mark: Could this be caused by our host disabling allow_url_fopen? This link suggests that's one reason why getimagesize()
working for local images, but not hotlinked ones... https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... 6&t=552607
