Wheel alignment shop lower mainland??

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Wheel alignment shop lower mainland??

Post by Drumster »

I recall some years ago somebody posted about a good alignment shop in Langley that was familiar with Delica. My '94 L400 could use a front end alignment -- I would appreciate recommendations.
Thanks!

Thanks DS but Butch told me he couldn't do a precise job of it without certain equipment which he doesn't have. Kal Tire on King George couldn't do it either. There must be a place somewhere around here that can do it. Surely I'm not the only one who's ever wanted a front end alignment on an L400...?? Would like to know what's worked for others.

Robert at Alignment City on Kingsway in Po Co 604 464 6121 has done mine for all my delicas :-D :-D . Good price and good service. Bring him a good coffee when you arrive and see his face light up.

Tell him Wayne recommended him :M .
Have fun

Hi Drumster, how'sitgoin',eh?

Butch has an alignment computer, no? I've seen him do many alignments on Starwagons, Space Gears, Pajeros and others.
Another option is to go to the "L400 Dedicated Category Reference Forum/L400 Shop Manual Downloads/The 1995 L400 Delica Space Gear Shoppe Manual" and look for sections 31 & 33, the latter having the alignment specs. Then you could go to any alignment shop and give them the specs. Having said that I have gone to alignment shops who when seeing my ride look at me like I stepped out of a space ship. You know, that "I'm feeling weird" look? Best to avoid them. West Coast Alignment would be one to miss.

Thanks guys. I'll double check with Butch but as far as I recall, when he installed my Pro Comp shocks a few years ago he was only able to do an approximate set up. I'll check (could just be early onset dementia  ) and post here. I somehow ended up with the understanding that because of the Delica's JDM peculiarities, it was not something regular alignment shops could easily do. My experience with Kal Tire affirmed that idea; they tried but couldn't do it. Rather than call and ask a bunch of shops that may never have dealt with Delica, I thought I'd ask here.
Anyway, I'll let you know what I come up with.
Cheers!

Had mine done at OK tire on 3rd near Granville island. I have them the specs and they were happy to do it. Good job and returned it with their machines print out. Much nicer to drive now. Just waiting for those Rancho socks to arrive.

Carl, I assume you're driving 4WD L400. What were those specs you gave them?

Don't use Alignment City, the owner is having a few problems :-( and will probably retire soon. Nice guy but....

Went to Dale's in Langley and they did a great job with my lifted gen 2 L400. They let you watch and ask questions too. :-D

I used the specs from the manual section and could email it to you if you send me an email. carlwiebe@telus.net

Not sure about alignment computer; I may have misunderstood what Butch said back then but at any rate, I went to Dale's on 56th ave in Langley. They've apparently done plenty of Delicas and had no trouble sorting mine out.
It was getting pretty tiresome but my van no longer tries to pull me into oncoming highway traffic!

I just replaced my tie rod ends, i measured both sides before I removed the old ones so I'm pretty sure the new ones are installed close enough. And I replaced my upper and lower ball joints ...is it okay to drive on the highway prior to an alignment? I.e. my place near Vancouver port to Langley or the other shops mentioned?
