Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
Do you have any details re the design and materials used? Cost?
I've been wanting to make one but haven't had the time to get down there and mock it up.

Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
Yea quite pleased with it. It came to 400$ and that was with help installing. If I had have done the install alone it would have been about 275$

Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
I'm thinking about using a section of conveyor belt from a coal mine, thick and pretty much rock proof, somewhat flexible. It's a bitch to cut though, but with it being somewhat flexible I won't need any fancy bends

Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
I cant seem to get a picture that shows the exhaust or skid plate any better. I needed a new exhaust, for the same price as getting a stock muffler I was able to go with a custom 2.5" side exit exhaust. Happy with it, wish the shop had have replace the exhaust up to the turbo but what can you do.

Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
do you have a LWB, cause on my SWB it looks like it will be close to the electrical connectors on the rear heating unit

It is kind of close, maybe 6" away or so at one point. I do have a LWB.
