Transmission gone bad...

So I went from having a minor leak, to a gasket letting go and losing what could be most my tranny fluid. I put 5.5 litres in today so I could limp it to my mechanic about 8 km away. Noticed that the tranny fluid, though mostly all new and red, was almost immediately brown.

I made it a few hundred yards before I got a slip and knew I shouldn't drive it. Just sent via tow to the mechanic. I hate days like this.

I expect to be in the market for a good used Auto trans by tomorrow...
