Delica Canada Stickers

Post by mark »

Prompted by popular demand, the official Delica Canada "Mitsumaple" Decal ( :M ) is about to be reprinted locally.

Bruce (aka Mystery Machine) designed the logo last year, and had generously donated a supply of stickers that he himself had printed Unfortunately, the inventory of original stickers (in particular the "external" verison of the Mitsumaple) is almost depleted and so its time to reprint.

Ultimately, it would be nice to see these on as many member vans as possible, and the best way to do this is to make the stickers free of charge, to be distributed at Delica functions coast-to-coast (perhaps via 2-3 "sticker reps" in areas where members are concentrated).

Many many thanks to Bruce for the design sticker supply. Also to mararmeisto & Delicat for getting me local supplier information to make this happen.

I'll update this post, to keep everyone informed.

Cheers,
Mark

I would certainly like to get my hands on a couple of those for my Deli.

My one comment is that it would be nice to see a "Delica.ca" sticker too because only club members can identify what the Mitsuleaf represents. I am constantly being stopped and questioned about my van and enjoy chatting with curious folks but not all curious types will approach and strike up a conversation. Myself, I had seen and wanted a Deli long before I knew where to find them and only stumbled across this forum when Googling for Deli info. Would be a great way to spread the word and thus popularity - assuming that is the goal of course.

The black and red logo banner at the top left of this page would be a great example.

I know this costs money to produce (unless you have a connection) but perhaps this could be offset by contributions towards production or sponsorship by related companies. Just thinking out loud. Curious what others think...

Cheers!
-Ian

You mean something like this:

I designed about 15 different logos last year and the above design was chosen by the members. The three logos you see above are 3 out of 6 designs based on the favourite design. I made a batch for members and brought them over to Canada with me last year.

You can read about/view some of the design process for these stickers by looking HERE

I'd be happy to supply the vector (DXF) format of this design to Mark for reproduction more batches in your country??

Thoughts?

We're encountering a slight delay in sticker printing. Mararmeisto has found a Victoria shop who will do the printing. However, they require the logo to be in .EPS format.

Does anybody have a utility to convert Bruce's .DXF file into .EPS format (or know of a free utility to do so)?

Thanks!

Ill do some calling to some of our customers and talk to our graphic designer guru to see what we can come up with i know we can do stickers but thats not really what we do more of,we can cut out that same logo on plastics from .005 thou to 1/4'' acrylic and adding ahesive. I have done a 1\2'' font that says CYCLONE TURBO DIESEL and put it just under the Delica lettering on the front corners of the van.I was thinking of maybe doing up some key chains with :M on it i was also thinking of maybe ''lazer'' engraving Mitsubishi on my back slider window.I have lots of ideas feel free throw me the ol' can you engrave.. questions ill be able to help ya in that department.

Regarding my earlier post in this thread about file types, Sergiy came to the rescue and converted the .DXF to .EPS for us -- Thanks Sergiy!

I think rdub's idea of an expanded line of delica-related merchandise (e.g., the Mitsumaple key chain) sounds cool!
