Hello guys,
I have a 1994 L400 Space Gear diesel manual with almost 290 k km on it and yesterday my clutch blew. I got a repair quote at $ 2000 which I do not want to spend on it as I was planning to sell it soon. Would anyone be interested in buying it for parts ? Or have it repaired and keep using it ? There is surely some time left for her. I used it mainly as a work truck. There are basically brand new (less than 5000 km on them) BF Goodrich A/T tires, new glow plugs 4 months ago, new alternator + left front outer tie rod (at 275 000 km), new battery at 273 000 km, front rotors at 260 000, have receipts for all of it. It also has a ladder in the back.
Or if anyone knows about any yard that would buy it for decent price that would be great too.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Lukas

L400 diesel manual - blown clutch - for parts ?
CD$2000 to replace a clutch sounds like the "we really don't want to do it" price. I would call around. Tell them it's a Montero and see if the price changes.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
