While I have heard various rumors of a JDM diesel mechanic in Winnipeg, I wasn't able to track him down. (Shop changed names or locations, who is this unicorn?) I took my Strada to Western Turbo which is around route 90 and Inkster. Big shop, very professional and all they do is diesels. The truck had been running like poop, no power and high EGTs. It took a while for the technician to find the tiny screen at the injector pump, but he found it. He then adjusted the valves, advanced the timing a bit and the truck runs fantastic. I will be bringing my Townace there to have the timing belt and tensioner pulley done as well as having the valves checked and tune the IP and a little timing advance. Their prices aren't ridiculous but this is not some backyard mechanic.

Advanced the timing? In a diesel? Wow, he really knew what he was doing!
