l300 front (above driver) sunroof- is it flat or curved?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

l300 front (above driver) sunroof- is it flat or curved?

Post by illan_voyager »

Tree fell on the roof & smashed out the front sunroof. Luckily not too much other damage.

My best guess.. the glass is curved, but if not.. if it is flat or close.. i still have the rubber outside gasket from the old glass, hinges are good, etc. thinking that a pice of lexan.. or custom from a local auto glass shop. Would surely be cheaper than the price ive been able to find a used one (greater vancouver/abbotsford/etc).

Or any other usa/canada vehicles that might have used the same sunroof as l300?

Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated

Is this an electric or a manual sunroof? When I think of the sunroof over the cab I think of the crystal lite style which is electric and has an internal gutter, but your description sounds like a manual one that has a rubber seal.

The electric ones are curved. I havent seen any manual ones, but maybe it's aftermarket?

Ah. Definitely curved. It’s subtle but it’s there. I don’t imagine a flat piece of glass would fit very well.

thank you for the reply!

Anyone know if any other Mitsubishi models may have used the same sunroof?

montero?
dodge raider?
pajero?
etc?

I'm still not having any luck finding one, and getting tired of my "new" delica parked under a tarp!

thanks again!

You may want to try these guys in Armstrong. I know they had @ least 2 vans with that sunroof.
