Quebec and East Coast Camping Trip

Post by cosmo727 »

Hello Eastern Canada and USA Delica Fans

I am from Ontario and planning a camping trip from August 7 to August 26 to Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, and then back to Ontario through Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York. I will be just outside of Quebec City in PARC NATIONAL DE LA JACQUES-CARTIER from Aug.7 to Aug.10. So far that is the only part that is confirmed, the rest of the trip will be flying by the seat of our pants. If there are any members in those areas who would like to get together during that time, feel free to contact me.

Hi Cosmo727 8-)

I do live a few KM from that Park ! Anywhay, you can spent at least a few day nearby Québec City, even from the Park that is close to downtown :-D Go here to schedule your trip even better (http://www.quebecregion.com/en/). Now, if you need any mechanical or need a backyard to sleep overnight you can come to my place :-).

Here are a few suggestions for your trip : STRONGLY SUGGESTED = CIRCLE AROUNG GASPESIE PENINSULA) : Parc du Bic (http://www.sepaq.com/pq/bic/index.dot?language_id=1), Parc du Mont-Albert (https://www.sepaq.com/pq/gma/index.dot?language_id=1), Parc Forillon (http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/qc/forillon/index.aspx), Percé (http://routedurocherperce.com/en/), Miguasha (http://www.miguasha.ca/mig-en/), etc. Driving from North Sore (from Quebec City) a while then Ferry from Saint-Simeon to Rivière-du-Loup, AFTER a day in Tadoussac (http://www.tadoussac.com/en/culture-tourism), would be am upgrade to your trip (despite the hills)...

Anywhay, keep in touch while in that Park, I maybe in for meeting you with a glass of Red Wine or a Cold Quebec Micro-Brewery Beer

Keep in touch !

Thanks Lapprentis!!

I am really looking forward to Quebec's natural beauty and the European feel of Quebec City. We will definitely have to get together over a few good beers or red wine and talk about the Delicas while the wives roll their eyes...lol.

I will PM you with further details sometime

If you do go through NY there are some disperse camping opportunities in the Adirondacks and Castkills mountains. One drive up location is in Sundown Forest. Sites next to a river with a descent swimming hole walking distance. Just don't go on weekends; gets crazy busy!! I'm hoping to be on the road myself by then but might join you if still around! :)

Guys
I'm driving Coquitlam to Quebec City return with my main focus Canada Day in Ottawa. I still have to put together my timeline but wouldn't mind stopping in to see a few Deli owners along the way. But... this is a motorcycle trip, unfortunately my L400 gasser is staying at home.
Any more ideas of places to stop are appreciated.
thanks
