Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
We had an unknown visitor last night. The dogs were barking like crazy towards the darkness; the horses were reacting strongly by running towards the gate and continuously snorting. We had no idea what it was. Fearing it could be a cougar or a bear, I set up some trail cams today. My kid, then, found some moose tracks. Thankfully, there was no feline predator. But I may have to chase a moose away with my Delica (I will sure make a video of it).

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
I almost crashed and rolled my van over the edge of the mount provost road. It was snowy, but had no idea how slick it was until I spun out and started sliding backwards and to the edge of a steep embankment. Thankfully I stopped in the soft snow 30 cms from the edge. There the chains on, and backed down to where I could turn around. I wasn't expecting it to be so icy!

Went for a lovely drive in the mountains today.
Photo taken looking at ridge that is near the west edge of the Continental Divide (looking east). Go over that range (and the mountain behind it) and you're in Alberta on the east side of the divide.

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Today I met with Backcountry 4X4 Club in Halifax, NS.
A Delica does get quite a bit of attention around all those Jeeps:)
I will post photos of my first trail run with this group next month.
Cheers,
Jim

And that ladies and gents is why good shocks are a must! The compression damping on the front is non-existent meaning the front end dives severely allowing all the weight to shift to the front of the vehicle, and in the case of an L300 you get pitched forward like this :P

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Strange. I suspect there was absolutely nothing in the cabin, as well as possibly an extended weight in the front. The reason I say this is I've experienced situations where I've panned the brakes doing sixty kliks, she bowed before the emperor and not had my aft end lift on me. Just sayin'.
Falco.

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
So Calgary got hit with over 20cm of snow in under 4 hours on Sunday.....Later that day I watched in horror as a Saturn L200 slid under my L400 while I was stopped at a traffic light.....poor car didn't stand a chance on that Tube Bumper....I think the car is a write-off. All I got was a broken tube bumper, bit of a scar in the rear plastic bumper skin,a bumper mount got torn out and the under carriage spare tire rack got bent from the tube bumper. The Saturn buckled its hood, right side fender, headlight assembly and bumper corner all got munched.
Tough Mitsu for sure....but now its got frame damage....sigh. I wish winter tires were mandatory in Calgary.

Craigslist. But for whatever reason, it seems people would rather spend thousands extra and buy vans from the dealers.
