What did you do TO your Delica today?

Excellent idea to bypass the power window relay! This has bugged me since I bought Wilson. After figuring it was too much of a contortion act to try to fit a jumper up under the dash, I pulled the relay, opened it up (just unbent the metal indents and it pulls apart) and pulled out the spring, post and that other bit (ie. all the parts that just fall out) and reassembled it without those bits; now it's always a closed circuit.

I swapped out the aftermarket, clear-lens tail lights that came with it and put in some stock lights, with regular amber turn signals.

Finally replaced the old and tired headlights! New lights from eBay, via a Taiwanese company CrazyTheGod that make aftermarket headlights. Shipping was crazy fast. Went with the dark frame, I think it looks pretty cool.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Delica-L300-99 ... 4084.l1313

They're sold for L300 99-ON but I took the risk, as they looked like they'd fit on my 1993 Exceed. And they do fit perfectly. Came with corner lights. HID with a LED Aura. Easy to install, just have to find a good place to put a bracket for the ballast. Only small issue was the connectors for the corner light did not fit, a small tab was in the wrong place. Easily solved, as the old bulb holder fit into the new lights.

replaced the passenger side mirror after breaking it on a parked truck mirror. Got pinched when passing a semi on a side street as he was just starting to move when I was half-way by.

Thanks to Rising Sun for having the part on hand.

Replaced a leaking exhaust manifold gasket and watched our boost jump from a smoky 5psi up to 10 cruising with the option of opening the relief valve when you floor it.

After crawling underneath to re-attach the reverse light wires to the switch on the transmission for the third time this winter, I decided to re-engineer the system and installed a switch activated by the gear shift instead. The old wires were corroded back about a foot from the old switch. Ran new ones up high under the body and around the engine compartment to the gear shift. All good now! :-D

Nice! I thought about doing something similar for the 4WD dash light which is always a bit intermittent, but it makes far more sense for the reverse switch.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
