Started on making a Mitsubishi RVR Sports Gear spare tyre carrier fit on the Delica. Some modification required.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

Well, haven't posted much lately but have done a few things to the van.

The best curtains... Coroplast! I cut pieces for all windows, fit like a glove, let natural light in, and are impossible to see through. Also tore up the carpeting throughout and stripped the paint. Primed and sprayed boxliner in the front and a bit in the back. Put down 3/4 " plywood (maybe a bit overkill) in the back with plans to hard mount it to the floor. Put the rear carpet over the ply in the meantime. Daily driver since 2007 so I'm playing the long game with Nazomi (my Delica).
Put a turbo boost guage in with the guage mounted on the side of the shifter housing. I have a sensor for a pyro but haven't installed it yet, and I might not want to know......
Rear door piston bracket reversed for more head room.
Rear 6x9 speakers mounted from the ceiling in the back, found perfect fit bolt holes under the faux ceiling and cut around it to make it fit.
I've had a number of different tires over the years, but my current faves are Goodyear wrangler 235x75r15 in the summer and snow claw studded 235x75r15 in the winter. For 2wd winter traction I have been running 2 - 3 rubbermade totes full of sand over the rear axle, works great! I wired a small solar panel to the dual batteries and mounted it on the dash on the passenger side, and this summer wired a cigarette lighter 12v plug just behind the passenger seat by the seat belt. Power, anytime. Ski pole grip as the 5spd shift knob. Painted the bush bars and most of the front metal black. Repaint prn. Class 3 rear hitch made by that guy in Salmon Arm several years ago, it's never let me down. I have an original wasp nest up in the side door well, no longer occupied but I like the aesthetic, as well as one that keeps hanging on under one of the upper rear cowlings top outside of the rear door. Oh, and my feet don't get wet anymore. I'm sure there is more but I can't remember. Next up is a safari rack. Anyone have one they will part with real cheap?? Let me know if anyone wants photos of anything. Love the site and community here, long time member, sticker proud on my passenger side view mirror!

I used a can of SeaFoam in the crankcase and changed the oil and filter. I also put a can of seafoam in a new fuel filter and installed that.
Can't wait to see if this fixes my poor fuel economy!!

Changed the front and rear pads, and the front rotors.
I local Delica mechanic said my brakes were at <40% when I did a prepurchase inspection, and when I actually pulled the pads they look to be at 50% even after driving it a few thousand km's since purchase. I replaced them anyway and will use the old ones as spares I suppose

Finally got my front brakes hooked up...just torqueing the last lug nut and snap there it goes. F*ck! So sick of taking the hubs and brake apart and I dont have time now to fix it. I decided to drop it off at Kal Tire, nice and easy. Then on the way there one of my power windows stops working, will only go down half an inch. Double F*ck....now I get to learn how power windows work.

Left or Right door?
If the left, I might have some parts you need.

Its the right. It seems like it just jammed, hopefully no need for parts. Cross my fingers. Wont be able to take it apart for a week or so.

I got my van registered in Sask!
. I had relatively little trouble! i added LED DTRL and wired my side markers in. Other then that i had some condensation in my headlight, a u joint that needed replacement, and some loose wheel bearings.
about 2 hours of my own time for wiring and 270 bucks at the mechanic.
I am pretty happy

Last week I installed a new engine temp sensor. There is a slight improvement in gas mileage so I'll change the other 2 as well and see.... :-D

2 days ago the rear passenger side caliper wouldn't reseat so yesturday i rebuilt all 4 brake calipers, bled the ABS brake lines, never seized the wheel studs and reinstalled the tires. I double checked the stud nuts torque this morning. :-D

The kit and sensor were from Amayama trading.

Had the front brake callipers replaced. I knew one side was sticking and had no time to do it myself. Good thing as I found out I also need front bushings. 173,000km. GO figure!
