Operation Delica retrieval is about to begin!

Post by sub-arctic »

Well as of right now i am about 3 hours away from wheels up on my flight home to go and pick up my van and drive it back to Yellowknife! I am really stoked, as I have never driven through the mountains in the winter before! I have a ton of winter/ survival gear that is going in the van just in case I run into issues. Living in the north has its perks when you don't need to buy a bunch of extra stuff to be prepared for a winter road trip! I will post up some pictures after the trip is all said and done!

:-D

Did you end up installing a pyro gauge in your L300?

You're picking a good time to run up there now. Good weather for the next week from S to N.

Made it back to Yellowknife without incident! The weather was perfect the whole way up! The worst part of the drive was the last 100kms bumpy, and covered in a sheet of ice, but other than that it was totally great! I kind of forgot the camera in its bag, but a few noteable things from the trip were a sign that read "do vegetarians eat animal crackers?" in Salmon Arm, 2 Military convoys headed towards Yellowknife, a semi Carrying an armored personnel carrier, also going to Yellowknife, and a few other things along the way haha.

I didn't end up installing a pyro gauge yet, but its on the to do list, for now I have a new issue that just popped up for the second time. I will post details in the L300 tech section!
