Yes, that was the Ice Fields parkway. The Rockies are one of my favourite places. The fuel pump was interesting in that I've now only seen 2 in my life with a fliter on the line like that.

cool. my first time at the columbia icefields i hiked up to the front of the glacier (along the left side of it close to the dirt) with just enough light to get me back down. i was there last May and wanted to do it again, but this time, the base is all roped off with danger signs. didin't realize that one could fall in the cracks and never be found and/or drown/freeze to death. yikes.

anywya, i've seen many pumps in the states with filters in them..especially the ones with the fatter nozzles for the big rigs. that pump you took a pic from looks very familiar too, waaaaay up north right? i may have filled up right in that very same pump.

I beleive the pump is near Manitoulin Island, I saw another one near Winnipeg but not at all in the states.

Those glaciers can be dangerous. You did it without a rope?

Welcome home, Nxski... smiles.

Falco.

P.S.: My comment about the fuel pump was regarding the price posted on it. Diesel was $1.45 at the time I posted that.

Amazing. Can't really believe you never once woke up with rain either. Truly an impressive voyage and it was awesome to meet you along the way. Now go and start planning the next trip! :-D :M

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, no more big trips like this in the forseable future. I'm back to the ski store and building up my General Contracting company (hence the trailer). I do have many more 2 week trips planned though and lots of time ahead of me! :-)

I would really love to see a final picture of the rear window with all of the stickers on it. That was one of my favorite parts of seeing your van was all the bumper stickers you acquired on the way. Well that and the fact that by a complete fluke of fate I ran into a member in a real Delica in my back yard. A matter of seconds either way and I would have totally missed you.

Here's the best picture I have. The van is nice and clean once again, but some of the stickers are starting to fade and/or peel.
