a friend made one for me. its just a socket welded onto another socket so its deep for torsion bar cranking

This option is somewhat costly... you can pickup one for $15-45 depending on the quality or pickup a set.
17mm gearwrench is good quality. You can buy them at Canadian Tire.

those are good too, but with a long socket, you get a wider turning radius. first one i did with a regular open ended wrench... oy!
