I am surprised I didn't see this posted on here already. The usual 40% crud being stirred up again. Hard to believe that the Globe would publish such a biased and un-researched story, then again, it's big business, so it's really no surprise.

Re: More negative press
Considering the biased approach I've read from most Globe writers I'm hardly surprised. I canceled my subscription to them long before they started on RHD.

Re: More negative press
Judging by the CBC article they are no better...in general the Globe isn't too bad, it's take on many political matters remain generally reasonable in their approach, but this matter is pretty near and dear to my heart (like most of us here) and the journalistic approach is shocking in its bias. I think the good thing is that the comments on both these stories show that a good majority of readers side with the right of the consumer to choose and that playing the "saftey" card on this issue is quite absurd, ESP when faced with the UBC's study of ICBC's terrible report.

Re: More negative press
I would like to see a report that compared pollution from a 15 Yr Vehicle as opposed to the pollution created by scrapping it and buying a new one..In my opinion this is only about keeping an Economy going...out with the old in with the new.We are being brain washed that we always need new at the cost of the enviroment.
