Ahhh, do you work for K&N??? Just kiddding, that's great you saw such an improvement. Do you think it was because you old filter was so clogged, or is it something special about the K&N filter (other than their cool logo)?

I'm driving an L400 with the cone K&N filter and it's great but not a massive difference compared to a clean/stock one. If you feel an increase at the pedal, something's up with your stock filter.

If you get a 2.5" exhaust, freeflow muffler, solid intercooler/turbo pipes, up the fuel screw = VERY noticeable increase in HP.

No I wish though all the free goodies.... lol I mostly think it's because my old one was plugged but with the solid copper intercooler pipes and the nice shiny filter it made a difference..... jesse I plan on doing the exhaust to either 2.5 or 3 inch I haven't figured that part out yet but soon.....

I installed a K and N in my L300 and love the fact that I never have to buy another filter again and they tend to get dirty real quick...Quite expensive however!!I think mine was around 100 bones!!Paid for all ready.. :-D

You still need to clean your air filter around every 10k km depending where you have driven your car.

Depending on where you drive. If you only go on regular paved roads and never drive in any dusty conditions you can get maybe 20-40k miles out of it, but with all the dusty logging roads you won't make more than 15k mile without loosing airflow. If you like you can even use your stock paper filter for 15k+ miles but you will feel a difference in performance for sure.
