Repeat Stall After First Start Up of Day and Pajero Lift Advice

Post by Westcoast »

Hey guys,

Im new to this forum but figured its the place to be for Mitsubishi right hand drives. We have a Delica L400 and just imported a Pajero.

My first question, our Delica started stalling after it starts and runs for a couple minutes. It seems to be less of a problem in the summer. After it stalls it is fairly difficult to start again (two batteries thankfully) and will stall a couple more times. Not great for the engine obviously but if i start the delica and peel out of my parking spot keeping the rpms high it doesn't seem to happen. I changed the fuel filter today which hopefully will solve the problem but we shall see. Anyone else have this problem?

Also, any tips on lifting my pajero? Not a big lift maybe 1.5 or 2 inches max. I was thinking blocks for the back end with new shocks and turning the torsion bars up on the front end. What do you guys think about that? Im trying to keep the price down as im buying the tires and have inspection, transportation etc etc.

Thanks,

Jeremy.

The stalling sounds like the typical injection pump front seal air leak. There's a post in the Technical Reference Library about how to fix it: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=18880
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
