96 delica 1 gen. both high and low beam bulbs are H1. The low beam (outter bulb) has 2 small wires fed into headlight lense. Also behind the projection lense is a small black mechanism which wires is attached to. Can someone tell me what this is for and how to remove it or can I cut the wires and put in the proper H1 and H4 bulbs?

tks

Could it be a Daytime Running Light (2 wires going to a small bulb in the headlamp), or a Xenon/HID conversion?

Any chance of a photo? (must be smaller than 900 pixels wide to upload here using the "attachment" option).
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

no its not a daytime running light I don't think anyway. when I purchased it from velocity it had the head light relay removed and a jumper wire there so the lights come on with key!! Prob a xenon conversion. I will get a pic tomorrow its currently in storage.
thank you
