Van Shacking at 90 Km/h
Good day,
I have a small issue with my van. When I drive my van on the hightway and reach the speed of 90Km/h, the entire van start to shack, like if the engine was coughing. I have this shacking at differente speed but not as bad. When I drive at 100-110 km/h no probleme at all. Engine run fine at the iddle.
I didn't drive my van for several month and I didn't have this problem before.
I just installed a new suspension lift, I don't is relatted thaught.
Thank you.

Try this: bring the van up to 110kph, put the gearshift in Neutral, and let the van slow down to 80kph while the engine is idling. If the shaking is still there as you pass through 90kph it's something to do with the drivetrain. If the shaking has gone away, it's the engine.
My first thought is that it's related to your suspension lift. Check that the driveshaft has been assembled correctly with the ends aligned.(http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18589)

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

I’m thinking if Growlerbearnz trick doesn’t work, it might be a wheel weight. Check to see if it’s been done properly or missing any.
You need to get them rebalanced. Tell them the purpose of why your doing it. And maybe ask to get their senior guy to check it out while they do it!!

On my Delica, I had my wheel weights fly off at a low speed. I heard it fly off too!
Not even 15kms after new tires were installed and balanced.
My ford truck had the same problem at 90kms, shaking and vibrating as well. Turned out to be a balancing thing.

I will try this Growlerbearnz. I already lost a weight on a Wheel also and it is not the same vibration. Sorry I'm French but I will try to explain. I like if the engin cough but I don't any sound from the engin. I don't know if it can be from the transmision or somewhere else. Is there a map sensor, o2 sensor or anothere sensor that can be involve. Like on MazdaSpeed6 that I had an issue with the O2 sensor and It was kind of same symptom but at different speed.
Thank you.
Thank you.

If the alternator diodes are on the way out it can cause the engine to miss in the series 2, but sure about the series 1.P.Gaudreault wrote:I will try this Growlerbearnz. It's a 1998 TD Chamonix.

Series 2 so could be the alternator. There's a way to test it, but I can't remember exactly how. Think it involves disconnecting the alternator and going for a short drive. If the symptoms are gone it's your alternator.P.Gaudreault wrote:It's a 1998 TD Chamonix.
