Power steering gone. Need help please

Hi all,
So after sinking a bunch of $$ into the ol' deli she's let me down again. First thing noticed was no power steering. It works fine when I'm on the gas but, no throttle = no power steering. Then a couple days later start hearing creaking and groaning coming from the chassis/suspension. Check it out and see my swag bar link is broken. Less than a year old!
Is this a result of no power steering. Would this explain the creaking? I just had the ball joints changed but I'm told that wouldn't be an issue.
Fluid on power steering is fine. Jacked it up to try and bleed it but didn't change anything. I've read about a pressure relief valve on the PS pump that can get stuck open sometimes. Can anyone tell me where I'd find the pump.
Any help would be appreciated.
