We have a 1997 Exceed Space Gear and was wondering if the only way to get a winch bumper is with a custom fab job, or if there are places to buy/order one which will bolt in without custom welding/fabrication?
Cheers

Sorry for the triple post but I google translated the Russian site, that winch mount needs a 4 inch lift, so put of the question for most of us.
I guess we're all going to have to bug John for a template

Re: 1997 Space Gear - Winch Bumpers
I've been away for a while. I don't have a template I afraid. It was a cut to fit, part by part kind of job.
It is a tight fit. It attaches to the frame in three points on each side. I also had to cut some of the plastic body parts to fit the winch cradle.
I will post some photos with an explanation of how I did it if anyone would like.
I have to say, it has got me out of a few places over the last year.

I would love to see more pictures! From the few I've seen so far, it looks like a very tidy installation.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
