L400 turn signal issue

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

L400 turn signal issue

Post by JSweet »

So i'm having a very strange issue with my turn signals. I'd say 60% of the time they work fine, but occasionally they stop blinking and stay solid when I use the indicators. It's very intermittent , I can't seem to fine a pattern to it. It does this on both the left and right side. It seem to only start doing this after i've been driving for 20+ minutes or so. I can occasionally get it to start blinking properly by trying the indicator a few times to get it to flash. I've checked all the bulbs (all work fine) and the fuses on the steering wheel but the rest of the electrical in the L400 is a mystery to me. Anyone ever seen this problem?

You probably need to replace the signal light relay located under the dash.

Cheap and easy fix. Canadian tire has them instock on the shelf....universal fit.

You will need to leave the signal light on so you can locate the right relay via the clicking noise.
Yeah I joined the Dark Side because the medical plan is top shelf!

Hi Jsweet,
It could be a indicator flasher relay issue,MB338226.
Not combination switch.
Big-Bird's comment is right, cheap & easy fix.

L400 turn signal issue

My turn relay was starting to die... got a replacement montero one. Part is a little smaller and doesn't have the clips, but the plugs line up perfectly and it seems to work. Here is the packaging picture
