Shocks

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Shocks

Post by VanVonVan »

Hello Everyone,

I have done a search for shock part numbers for the L400 and I think I have the right ones but I just want to double check before I order them for a stock L400 deli:

Procomp part numbers

Front : 914510
Rear : 923510 (ECS) / 923509 (non-ECS)

You'll need 5/8 poly bushings to replace the rubber one's that come with the procomp's. Part number : PV2028

Also maybe a silly question but who makes these bushings? If i walk into a place all I need to say is I want 5/8 poly bushings part number PV2028 and they will know what I mean?

Thanks,

Russell

My last shocks were procomp. All the rear ones were leaking within a year and a half. Not impressed

We're those 9000's? I have had Procomps in my van for 2.5 years and 80,000km. They are a bit soft now, but still working fine and no leaks. I won't pay for them next time though as I don't find them any better or worse than the Monroe's that had been on 4 years and 80,000km prior to the Procomps.

Hmm that is definitely not good. I need something that can hold up to the unruly streets of Winnipeg. Is there a substitute that either of you can recommend? I have a '94 L400 with ECS.

Thanks

I can highly recommend keeping the original ECS system, any particular reason you want to get rid of it?

I put the oil units in the back of my l300. I don't do anything too crazy... Leaks. Some rust on them right away..
I will try Monroe's or something different next time and now that I have a l400 I might be needing new ones.

The only replacement shocks you can buy which will enable you to retain the ECS system are genuine Mitsubishi ones. Others will fit, but you can't attach the actuators so will lose the ECS function.

I think Tardisdeli has the part numbers for the L300, unfortunately I don't.

Can genuine mitsubishi shocks be bought here for a reasonable price or is that why people are buying after market shocks? I don't need extreme heavy duty shocks for 4x4ing but the roads here in manitoba will eat a wheel if you're not careful. If anyone has some part numbers for replacements that would be fantastic.

Thanks

MR353425 Front
MR267538 Rear

They cost approx the equivalent of CAD $140 each here in the UK (£90).

Going on 4 years with Procomp 9000's...only problem is the booty's broke down quickly and the rear's were too stiff. No leaks, and it sure tamed the front end "float". My previous Rancho 5000's had "dead spots" in them after one year:( I would put Monroe Senso's in the rear if I did it all again.

$140 each plus shipping seems a little high to me. I am wondering if my ECS even works, I mean it is a 15 year old electronic. If I take the ranchero part numbers to a place will they be abvle to find me some alternatives? I think the ranchero numbers I posted I saw for about $50 somewhere. I wouldn't mind trying the monroes either if anyone has a part number for them.

Up to you obviously. What I can tell you is mine had Rancho 9000s on it when I bought it and it drove like a boat. I bought 4 Mitsubishi ECS shocks and re-instated the system and the ride was utterly transformed. The ECS on these vehicles is amazingly good.
Don't you have Mitsubishi dealers over there that you could contact to find out the price in Canada?
