Hi All,
I've gone into high gear with getting our L400 ready for summer road trips and am now wondering if the timing chain might need to be replaced. I read on the thread about maintenance that the timing chain should be done at 80,000 km? Our Deli is now at 116,000 km. The dealer I bought it from said he never replaced it, and I have no idea if it was replaced in Japan at some point before.
Any thoughts on this topic?
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Timing chain replacement
hi, usually timing chain last at least 400,000 kms depends if timing chain is noisy or loose.
but if you don't see anything then just do regular change oil and your be fine.
not easy to change this change this timing chain
cheers;

If it makes this sound : http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=Um-CF2NNfVM
Then replace it. Check the guides while you're at it.
