Timing chain replacement

Post by cd_photo »

Hi All,

I've gone into high gear with getting our L400 ready for summer road trips and am now wondering if the timing chain might need to be replaced. I read on the thread about maintenance that the timing chain should be done at 80,000 km? Our Deli is now at 116,000 km. The dealer I bought it from said he never replaced it, and I have no idea if it was replaced in Japan at some point before.

Any thoughts on this topic?

Thanks,

Colin

If it makes this sound : http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=Um-CF2NNfVM

Then replace it. Check the guides while you're at it.
