L400 exterior temperature probe

Post by joedelica »

Anyone have an idea where to search for the external temperature probe?
I need to replace it, as my exterior temp. reads -29 degrees and unfortunately
Mardy is not sure on the Exceed models.

Cheers,

Joe

I believe it is on the drivers side right in front by the "vent" that appears right by the lower corner of your bumper. Some Delicas have fogs put in this vent. If I remember correctly, this vent is to help cool your brakes. (By vent, I mean the round hole with horizontal slats in it.)

Open the hood and look towards the firewall near the batteries. The air intake for the climate system has the small plastic grate on it. It mates to the duct work on the underside of the hood. If you remove that grate, I think you'll see the probe in there.
