Assiniboine Bouquet

Post by solanoid »

Hi,

Steven and David (Assiniboine) brought my L400 up to Edmonton the other day, the delivery service was smooth and conveniant (not to mention free)
Now, Im not going to get into all of the details, but at the end of the day I paid good money for a good van.
Dealing with out of province inspections is a pain in the ass no matter how good the condition of the vehicle is. Our van is gorgeous and it runs perfect, hope to see it last our growing family well into the future.

The transaction could not be called flawless, but I would easily rate my purchasing experience with Assiniboine 8.5/10 And I would certainly recomend them to wise consumers.
In retrospect I was pretty hard on Steven during the process, and Assiniboine handled it well, they were willing to make things right to ensure that I was satisfied.
My advice to potential buyers...ASK QUESTIONS!

ON A SIDE NOTE:
This is advice to any parents out there trying to find anchor points for their childrens car seats (I read a thread about this somewhere)
The end of each seat belt is exposed, you will find that the belt fits through a bolted anchor and is heavilly reinforced with stitching. Place a professional rock climbing carabeaner through the seatbelt loop and attach the child seat teather to this, it is as close to an engineered anchor point as possible, definitly safe.

Happy trails! good luck to all during the holiday season!

Hi William,

Good question, originaly I took her to ok tire south, they said they knew the vehicle...yeah right.
They were giving me a hard time because when they went to plug into the vehicle computer it was all in japanese writing. However I was later told that because my van has no airbags, thats should be of no concern. There was also one other minor issue that was not Stevens fault, which the shop was making a big deal of (rear wiper sprayer was frozen, causing a problem with the switch)
Those were the ONLY things that kept me from getting the oopi done...what a piss off

Unfortuneately, the day I had my next oopi appointment booked, I had to leave for work, so it still has not been done. Who do you recomend Will? do you have a good spot?

BTW- I did check out jdm connection prior to my purchase, but I didnt see any Delis.

Thanks
William
