Blew the top plastic bit and cap off my rad this morning. 1km from the trail head, only had this beauty a few weeks and uh, learning the ropes... Anyways, now we are stuck in the Kootenays. (Slocan City right now) Planning to fix her in the bush when we find the part, but are stuck on what exactly we need and where to get it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Get a brass/copper radiator, they are less likely to break, if they do they're repairable and they will move more heat. CC Autos ought to have reconditioned ones, they ship.

Had coombs replace mine after i bought the van and it was a plastic rad. If I recall correctly he said thats all they had...but worked geat climbing the hill in the canyon at 29 degees on the way home . But agree probably wont take a hit very well . Coombs country auto ships really fast and are great to deal with.

Excellent, thanks folks. I've made an attempt at finding used parts from wreckers but suprise, suprise, no luck. Some local folks tipped us off that a place in castlegar repairs broken radiators. Has anyone had luck with fixing em?
It seems I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order it, but I'm exploring the options.

C & S Performance in Cranbrook says they have parts. They are closer but I have no idea what they carry. Mustang Connections in Armstrong also has parts as well as used parts for sale. http://jdmparts.ca/index.php?
