Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Fuse clarification

Post by josh »

My radio and clock both quit working... and neither are shown on my fuse panel. Does anyone know which fuse those would be run off of? They do not affect anything else it seems. I have to check my WVO components today... any ideas?

Hey Josh,

Glad to hear your WVO install worked out. Did you notice any less smoke when driving on veggie oil?

As far as the Fuse is concerned in my van the fuse for the clock is the top left in the cluster and is ten amps. This is also the fuse for the cabin lights in my van so if your cabin lights still work your fuses might be different and this is of no help at all!

It was sure nice to meet you and I hope your doing well.

Yes I definitely notice less smoke while running on Veggie.

I think that my injection pump may need to be re-timed though. When I was having the engine trouble before I timed it to 9 degrees ATDC based on the manual I had a downloaded from the Aussie Site. It seems though acording to the new sticker translation thread it should have been 7 degrees ATDC.
I wonder if this could be affecting my recently more smoky van. I am not sure why there would be a difference with the veggie except that it burns differently.

When I get back home I will be rechecking the timing and hope that this solves the smoling with diesel.

Good luck with the electrical troubles Josh.

From the UK site the fuse box is:
Top row- 10A Room, 10A Haz., 15A Horn, 10A Stop, 15A Head up., 15A Head up., 15A Head low, 15A Defog, 20A Rear heat, 20A Door Lock
Bottom row- 15A Wiper, 15A Lighter, 15A Rear lighter, 20A Sunroof, 15A Turn, 20A Heater, and 4 empty slots.
In mine one of the 15A Head up is empty.
Then there are the 4 "return wires" (fusable links?) at a little box off the battery post.
Also does anyone know what the 3 fuses behind the glove box are?

Did any one find the answer to this radio / clock problem? Cabin lights are out and we have changed the top left fuse. It was not bad.

check your ground wire and make sure you have a solid connection. this is something very much over looked yet also the most common and easiest fixes as well. especially if you take the rig off road or drive on gravel roads a lot too

FYI the 15A fuse for the horn also feeds running lights/tail lights, and the dash lights. I found out while removing this fuse because of a stuck on horn. Made a 20 minute drive home at night without tail/dash lights. Headlights still work.

I just wanted to point out that two Starwagon drivers are giving a Space Gear driver advice on which fuse is which. I'm not sure how similar the L400 fuse box is to the L300 fuse box but I'm guessing that and going by the differences in the suspension and power train ~ the electrical system is going to have differences. Doug, have you checked the manual in L400 Dedicated Category Reference Forum?

Fuse clarification

Post by Delica Dustin »

Hey folks I am just starting my love affair with my Delica, but two trips in and suddenly I have no radio, clock, or interior lights. I have tried all fuses I have checked the ground at the fuse box, and have nothing. I have had a hard time distinguishing if there are any other fuses or trouble shooting I could do. I have disconnected the stereo and have no wear marks on the wires or connections. Have a few fruitless hours into it hoping maybe someone can give me the golden ticket to an easy repair. Thanks in advance.

Fuse clarification

The clock and room lamps are on the same fuse. I'm not certain about the radio's permanent +12V wire, but it would make sense to be on that circuit too.

Fuse #1 - room lamp- sounds like the most likely culprit. I know you've checked all the fuses, but maybe swap that one just in case there's a break that's too small to see. http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=387

Can someone share part number of the main fuses at the battery (positive +) ? I think there is a 100A in there. Is it the only one near the Battery ? Or any 100A Car Fuse available anywhere will fit there ?
