Hi there,
I'm replacing my lower ball joints and I'm having trouble removing the Auto free hub cap. It seems to me that it's threaded on considering it's knurled on the outside diameter. I tried removing it with a pair of of pliers both ways in case it was a left hand thread but it's not budging, I didn't want to start applying excessive force on it because it's 25 year old plastic. Anyone run into the same problem?

Yup, they get stuck after a few years. An oil filter wrench with a strip of rubber to protect the chrome sometimes works too.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
