Need intatke fitting gasket for L300 4D56T
I need a gasket for the intake fitting that connects to the intake manifold. Mine currently does not have one for some reason. I've been trying to find one online and found a similar part number for KIA and Hyundai, 2832442850. I haven't found any websites that stock it that will ship to the US. Does anybody have a source or can this gasket be made with generic gasket material. Since I don't have one I have no idea what material it's made out of.

You can just make it out of gasket material, but it might not last long- that joint heat cycles a *lot*, which will eventually wear through the gasket paper.
The factory gasket is a steel one, part number MD303023. Amayama.com will ship to the US, (https://www.amayama.com/en/part/mitsubishi/md303023) and maybe oemmitsubishiparts.com if you contact them directly (the part number doesn't show up on their regular search, but they've been super helpful to me in the past).

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

Nice, thank you. I guess I'll order it since you have to remove the seat to access the intake.
They do make exhaust manifold gasket material that is metal, it would probably last longer than a paper gasket.

The exhaust manifold to head gasket (MR188679) is multi-layered steel, and is connected to the intake manifold gasket. You can re-use that one a couple of times before it starts to leak. I wouldn't try making an exhaust/intake manifold gasket except in an emergency, diesel exhaust is *rough* on gaskets. There's also the question of heat transfer between the head and the manifold: did Mitsubishi use a steel gasket for heat transfer reasons?
Though if you're ordering a gasket, you might as well order the exhaust/inlet manifold gasket as well.

I recently made a few exhaust and intake gaskets using Fel-Pro "Fel-Ramic" gasket material. It's held up for 12000km so far with no issues. Difficult to punch bolt holes, though, so I used a drill bit. Relatively inexpensive, metal/ fiber bonded material
