AC intake vent locations

Post by ontheebrink »

I'm trying to find the intake vent locations on a Delica L300 so I can spray in some cleaner to get rid of the smell. Does anybody know where the interior and exterior intake vents are located? I searched around it for a while and only managed to find one next to the back seat opposite the sliding door.

The smell won't go away. It's like mustard on a wedding dress! :-D Next time you use your AC, and youre about to shut the van off, turn the AC off and just have the fan on max for a few mins. The evaporator should dry up.!

The fresh air intake vent is behind the left headlamp, the recirculate vent is in the same area but inside. The easiest way to spray deodoriser into the front AC core would be to remove the glove box and spray into the recirculate vent (once you have the glove box out you'll see it).

The rear AC is a recirculating type (has no fresh air intake), the inlet is the large grille near the floor below the rear AC controls. The two smaller grilles are the hot air outlets, cold air comes out the roof vents.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

Cool, thank you. I thought I was going to pull a back muscle looking for them.

Just a word OTB, check out the L300 Dedicated Technical Reference Library, Shop manuals. Useful.
