Upgraded alternator?
I'm planning on charging a house battery from my engine batteries or straight from the alternator, havent decided yet. either way, i've already had alternator problems, and adding more stress to it scares me a little. are there any bigger alternators that fit? or anyone rigged something up?

Upgraded alternator?
The dual-pulley, vacuum-pump 4D56 alternators come in a range of sizes, from the stock 75A up to 120A. The problem I've found is that you can't trust the cheap aftermarket alternators- the ones I've found were advertised as 100 or 120A, when really it's 75A.
In the end I found an actual 90A alternator (from a Pajero, part number MD162964) and fitted that. It's been fine so far.

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
