It's been in the low-to-mid 30s here (90-95 F) here the last couple of weeks, and my Delica never warms up past this according to the gauge, no matter how much I drive it:
Now, I've only had my Delica for a month and have only put about 300km on it. I'm glad it doesn't appear to overheat, however, I'm also a bit suspicious of the gauge. Plus, what will it be like when its 5-10 c out?
Anyhow, is this normal, and if not, what should I look for to fix it?

Completely normal. Try driving up a long hill, it should slowly move towards halfway, and should get no higher than 3/4.

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
