Or you could install a Wolverine. These are not expensive, easy to install and make a world of difference.

How has been your experience with them? Under what conditions have you used it?

Anyone ever use a magnetic or glue on oil sump heater? What was your experience with these sorts of warmers?

I have a magnetic sump heater on my L300. It only seems to work if you plug it in right after you've parked it up from driving it the night before. If you put it on a timer to have it going a few hours before you're planning on starting your van the next morning, its just not enough to be effective. My understanding is that the frost plug is the best way to go. It's going down to -14 tonight here in Ontario. My van usually has no issues starting unless in gets down past -20 +. Hopefully there's no surprises tomorrow morning, or I'm just gonna have to be late for work:)

I'm a big fan of the peel and stick Polar Pad from canadian tire. Check my Strada posts for more details. Ralph in Winnipeg
