95 SWB Rear Window

Post by rock_shoes »

The saga continues after Betty's last northern road trip. In getting the poor girl on the car trailer to bring her south from Destruction Bay Yukon, the tow driver managed to explode the rear window with the boom of the tow truck. I've managed to track down an axle from Coombs but the rear window might take a little more help.

Does anyone know if the rear window from a north american Gen 2 Montero will fit a Gen 2 SWB JDM Pajero? They look the same and I imagine it's a go if the measurements check out, but the car is at CVI right now a ways away from my measuring tape. Would certainly make the part search a lot simpler if they are the same.

All the glass is the same from montero to pajero. The only exception may be sliders on rear quarters versus non-sliders, depending on your model.

I bought a passenger's side front window (after I cleaned the glass out of my ear) from a local mitsu dealer. No problem.

The body is the same, barring installed options such as curb mirrors, different lighting standards, etc. Its the engine that makes the difference. And of course interior appointments vary from model to model, with JDM's generally getting higher specced options than their North American-exported cousins.
