A little late on the response but I am going to pick up my L300 next week I could do the following week for sure!

Mitsubishi Owners Day is the first Saturday in July. Hosted by Platinum Mitsubishi and they love it when JDM's make an appearance. Would be good if more than a Pajero, L400 and 1st gen Evo. We need some L300's to show up this year.

Calgary's Platinum MItsubishi will be gearing up for its annual Mitsubishi Owners Day which will mark the 5th year of this event in Calgary. Join us this year on Saturday July the 4th, show off your Mitsu or just come check out all the great rides. Free BBQ, prizes, & Tons of fun events for the whole family & of course, we'll be doing the live draw for the third winner of the annual Win Your Ride Event! Every year we choose winners for various categories & the last two years have even given away a FREE Car. Big congratulations to Katelyn Horne & Christa Cole who were the winners of the live draw in the Win Your Ride Event!

It takes place Saturday July 4th(Calgary Stampede weekend!) so if you got some time bring your JDM Mitsu to the event. The Delica's, Pajero' s and even the Kei trucks are more than welcome to attend and the dealer loves it when the JDMs' show up. Clean your ride, show up around 11:00am and bug out at 2:30. There are prize draws and great deals on custom parts that actually fit Delica's....I bought an e-brake handle in 2012.

So many of the Calgary Delica meet/greets have had an abismal showing...cmon people, make an effort and show up. Its only for a few hours!

I am new to the Delica world, my 95 L400 SWB is on its way from Japan right now. I plan on being there, it would be nice to meet some other owners and see what they have done to their rigs. See you there!

welcome to the Forum Daddiohh. Hope you will find Delica ownership as much fun as many of us.

Are you getting some Preventive Work done in BC before you bring it home. I don't care what the shops in Calgary/Edmonton tell you.....many really don't know the Delica drivetrain, fuel system or electrical system at all.

Rising Sun (New Westminster), CVI (Richmond BC), Coombs Country Auto(Van Island), Amazing Auto(Richmond BC). They know the Delicas best cuz they sell most of them in Canada. Best advise is be informed before you go speak to any of them.

Brakes, suspension, basic electrical (lights, temp sensors)...these are easy to work on as they are similar to other import 4x4's...like Toyota, Nissan.

A piece of advice: If you are going to BC to pick up your Deli, make a point of getting spare filters (Oilx4 /Airx2 /Fuelx2) This will set you up for about a years of basic maint and reduce the shipping costs of getting stuff shipped from BC. The fuel and air filters are unique to the L400. The oil filter has a few local alternaitves WIX, NAPA, Donaldson but these run about 45-50 each. If you get the JDM filters from BC they run about 25-30 each.

Thanks for the welcome Big-Bird, I won't even see my Delica until it gets to Edmonton and has had the out f province inspection done on it, part of the service from JDM Connections. I have spoken to a couple of other Delica owners in Red Deer where I live that have had work done at Mikasa Performance and have been very happy with the service.
That's good info on the filters, my in-laws live in South Delta BC so I may be able to get them to pick up filters etc. and ship them to me. Hope to meet you in Calgary on July 4th. Thanks again!

Just drove the Delica to Calgary tonight! I'll be there with the Mini-Fuji's and my new-to-me L400.

Well it was only 2 Delica.ca members and one Pajero who represented the JDM 4X4's. Still a good show....maybe we will see a few more next year from the Alberta contingent? Had no idea that I already know Mr. Fuji.
